Laser measurement technology is an area that Zoller+Fröhlich began exploring in the mid-90s. The company’s visual laser radar was awarded the Dr. Rudolf Eberle prize, “Innovations in Baden-Württemberg” in December 1998. In 2003 Zoller + Fröhlich launched the Z+F IMAGER 5003 3D Laser Scanner. The IMAGER 5003 was the first compact device produced in the IMAGER series. In 2006, the IMAGER 5006 was released. The IMAGER 5006 was the first fully stand-alone 3D measurement device. The IMAGER 5006i and IMAGER 5006h were released in 2008 and in 2010. In 2009, the IMAGER 5006 EX was released based off of the same technology as the IMAGER 5006. It is the world’s first and only ATEX certified explosion proof 3D laser scanner. In 2010, Z+F released the IMAGER 5010. This 3D laser scanner set new market standards. The IMAGER 5010′s incredible speed and easy-to-use interface allows the scanner to operate at the highest of efficiencies, creating outstanding high resolution 3D data.
