Ferrules are copper tubes used to cover stranded wires to protect the wire from fraying, breaking, or bending. There are usually three types of Ferrules: insulated, non-insulated and twin design. Insulated ferrules have a plastic collar that allows wire strands to enter into the ferrule. Ferrules are most frequently used for wire terminations and areas where robust, high quality connections are required. They are used in a variety of industries, mainly process, power and transmission.
